Toyota In Ohio

Toyota sales in the United States have been growing so rapidly over the past few years that the Japanese automakers are going to need more plants on U.S. soil. Ohio sticks out as a prime possibility for a number of reasons, location in the midwest, an area which the auto industry is already established, and the creation of new job opportunities. Growing up in Columbus I have seen first hand the effects on an economy of having automotive plants in the area. There is a Honda plant nearby in Marysville and the thousands of jobs that a plant can provide helps the employment rates. A Toyota plant in Ohio would be a great thing for Ohio's economy not just in providing more jobs, but would increase the competition level between the different automakers would help the economy that much more. There are no drawbacks for Toyota building an assembly plant in Ohio, the location is prime considering that Toyota also has plants in Kentucky and West Virginia. Ohio has plenty of workers to fill all of the jobs needed to run the plant because Ohio is already familiar with the automotive industry. I think a Toyota plant would be very successful in Ohio and I have a feeling that there will be a plant not too far in Ohio's future.
